Naturopathic Nutrition stresses the use of whole and organic foods as medicine – an integral concept of healing in many indigenous societies. Today, we see that a return to chemical-free foods, along with other dietary measures, is an effective answer to many health complaints and common conditions. As a qualified Naturopathic nutritionist I have learnt about the physiological and biochemical processes involved in nourishment, and the energetic side of food as well. Thousands of years ago, master healers in China perceived a way to classify food and disease according to simple, easily observed patterns; one eats cooling foods for overheated conditions, and warming foods are best for people who feel cold. Detoxifying foods are for those who carry an excess of toxins, and building foods are good for deficiencies, and so on.

Traditional Chinese and East Indian Ayurvedic systems have been used with pinpoint accuracy to diagnose disease conditions, and to categorise foods as medicine. Naturopathic Nutrition brings together authentic traditions of Oriental medicine with current, Western research-based nutrition to enable you to feel and become the best version of you without the need for medicine or a quick fix.

How does Nutritional Therapy work?

We are all individual and unique in terms of body shape and size, DNA/genetics, blood types, gut flora and metabolism. We also have unique environments, which include where we live, work , how we relax, what we eat drink and so on. We are all bio-individual - what worked for your mother/friend/colleague will not necessarily work for you.

Each of my clients is given their own nutritional plan that is suited to their lives, needs and goals. I focus on long- term health and disease prevention and physical, emotional and mental health.

I concentrate on filling you with whole nutritious foods, replacing foods that no longer work and replace with the ones that do.
